PDO Threads in Colorado

Experience The Non-Surgical Facelift

A PDO thread lift is a non-surgical way to lift sagging, aging skin, no operation required. Beyond the lift itself, it prompts collagen production in the face and neck, so your anti-aging results keep developing for months after the appointment. This FDA-approved procedure has become a popular alternative for anyone who wants to refresh their look without plastic surgery. The threads trigger the body’s natural healing response, building collagen while improving skin elasticity and texture.
It’s time to turn back the clock with a thread lift. Hollywood Body & Face is proud to be a leading provider of safe, effective PDO thread lifts across Colorado. Reach out today to learn more about the procedure and see how this non-surgical facelift alternative can transform your appearance.

UNDERSTANDING PDO THREADS

PDO threads are hypodermic needles preloaded with an absorbable PDO suture. PDO stands for polydioxanone, a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture material. It’s the same suture used in procedures like cardiothoracic (open-heart) surgery, and it’s considered one of the safest materials to implant in the body.
Your skin fully absorbs the suture within 4 to 6 months, leaving no scar tissue behind.

The PDO thread stays beneath the skin as the needle is withdrawn, working to restore the “V-shape.” A youthful, healthy face has a natural “V-shape,” but as tissue ages and gravity takes hold, that shape softens or even inverts. The threads gently lift the tissue and reposition the skin to bring it back.

HOW THE PDO THREAD LIFT WORKS

In medical terms, the process relies on a “selective inflammatory response”, controlled healing. It’s the same principle behind many aesthetic procedures, including fractional laser, chemical peels, and microneedling. Skin is naturally skilled at repairing itself, and by placing PDO threads, we prompt it to “heal” by generating new collagen on its own.
Your skin responds gently to the inserted threads. PDO is fully absorbable, but that doesn’t mean your skin stays idle. Over the 4 to 6 months it takes to absorb the suture completely, your skin is busy repairing itself around it, controlled healing happening just beneath the surface.
While PDO threads can be placed almost anywhere, they’re particularly effective along the neck and jawline, since the lower third of the face is notoriously hard to treat with botulinum toxin or injectable fillers.

Smooth Threads (Mesh) vs. Barbed Threads (Lift)

PDO threads can be used in two different ways:

Smooth Threads (Mesh): This approach builds a mesh beneath the skin, for example, two sutures placed vertically and three horizontally, resembling a hashtag or a net. That mesh becomes the foundation for new collagen production, tightening the skin naturally from within. The results come on gradually, with no drastic change.

Barbed Threads (Lift): This technique is used for a more dramatic, immediate result. The sutures have tiny “barbs” that grip beneath the skin. They’re inserted much like smooth threads but can be drawn in one or two directions to instantly reposition the skin. As with smooth threads, the skin then builds new collagen to secure the lift.

THREAD LIFT RESULTS*

A thread lift improves the look of sagging skin by redefining the mid-face contours in two ways:
  • An Immediate Lift

Your thread lift instantly lifts the mid-facial tissue without invasive surgery like a traditional facelift. The effect is similar to a facelift, but instead of removing excess skin, the threads suspend it, drawing the skin up and back with the sutures for an immediate tightening effect, no surgery involved.

  • Gradual Volume Improvements

The thread lift also delivers progressive results. Over time, you'll notice increasingly visible changes as the procedure stimulates collagen production and neovascularization, restoring volume and contour. As always, individual experiences will vary.*

THREAD LIFT AFTERCARE*

Caring for your skin after a thread lift matters for both healing and results. Plan to rest for a full day afterward. You’re free to move around, but avoid strenuous activity and heavy lifting for at least three weeks following the procedure. If you have any discomfort, you can take pain relievers as needed.
When you have your thread lift with the experts at Hollywood Body & Face, you’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to help you heal properly and get the best possible results.

THREAD LIFT CANDIDACY*

A thread lift isn’t right for everyone. The ideal candidate is someone in the early stages of aging, typically in their late 30s to early 50s, who wants results similar to a traditional facelift without plastic surgery and a complicated recovery.
Because the procedure is low-risk, it’s also a great option for people whose health conditions rule out surgery, including those with high blood pressure, diabetes, heart conditions, or similar concerns.
As with any cosmetic procedure, even a minimally invasive one, it’s always wise to talk with a medical professional first to be sure it’s the right choice for your health.*

PDO THREADS FAQS

How long does the PDO thread lift last?

Most people enjoy their thread lift results for 18 months or more. Once the effects begin to fade, scheduling another treatment will help you maintain that more youthful appearance.

How much does a PDO thread lift cost?

PDO thread lifts typically run anywhere from $2,000 to $4,500. At Hollywood Body & Face, we’re proud to offer the procedure at a low price of $2,500. To learn more about our pricing, schedule a consultation with our team.

How painful is a thread lift?

You’ll receive local anesthesia during the procedure to keep you comfortable. Afterward, you may have some mild pain or soreness, which you can manage with over-the-counter or prescription pain relievers for a few days until it eases.

How many PDO thread sessions do I need?

Most patients need between one and four treatments for the best aesthetic results. Many people then keep up their results with annual maintenance treatments.

Which is better, threads or fillers?

Threads are the better choice for lifting and improving sagging skin and general laxity. If you’re dealing with looseness, drooping, or sagging, a thread lift is ideal. Facial fillers, on the other hand, are better suited to softening fine lines and restoring lost volume.

When you book a consultation with the professionals at Hollywood Body & Face, you can talk through your concerns and figure out together which treatment best fits your skin and goals.

Can you feel threads in your face?

Because the threads sit beneath the skin and are so small, you shouldn’t feel them. Most people can’t detect their sutures at all once the skin has healed around them. If this is a concern, it’s something you can discuss further at your consultation.
